There are many ways we encourage learning at home. This includes reading books being sent out daily along with spellings and times tables. One of the main ways we encourage and support learning is via Class Dojo, and Google Classroom.
Class Dojo is an app where your child, teacher and parent can celebrate learning and successes, and share work and announcements in a safe, secure and private environment. Class teachers can share what is taking place within the classroom, celebrate individual and collaborative successes and can send out class announcements and individual messages, and share important updates throughout the school year about your child's learning. Students can upload work to their portfolio, and parents and families can communicate with class teachers through positive comments on classroom activities, and via direct messages, sharing information, pictures and documents concerning any work or learning a child may be completing outside of school.
Google classroom is used within school for children to access and save much of their classroom work. Each child receives an individual Google log in which follows them throughout their school journey, and allows them access to important documents, information and systems used to positively develop their education. In the instance where any work may need to be completed remotely for any reason, this log in information will be shared with parents/carers to allow them to access the same information and documentation from home or elsewhere.
If you are struggling with technology at home please speak to us in school to see if we can help.
