Quality Education, Through High Expectations.

We believe that through close partnership with parents, the hard work of the staff and the enthusiasm of the children, that this is the education afforded to all at The Deans Primary School.

Equipping children for the next stages of education

We understand that a quality education is so much more than an end of key stage assessment, it is about equipping children to go on to their
next stage of education as healthy, confident and respectful individuals.

Headteacher’s Welcome

We hope that you will get a real flavour of life in our school from reading about all the achievements of the children and seeing what happens in our school on a regular basis. We have had to deal with many recent challenges, both locally and globally, but our children, our school, and our community all still continue to thrive.

We are proud of the wonderful academic achievements of our pupils, but this is not what defines the children at our school. We measure our success by the smiles that we see around school as well as by the excellent academic results the children achieve. It is this balance that makes The Deans such a special place. We are delighted to have received recognition of the values that we live and breathe by being named a Flagship Centre of Excellence for Inclusion.

World Book Day 2024

To share our love of reading, and our understanding of the importance of this for our children’s education, we celebrated World Book Day throughout school. Children were invited to design or wear a t-shirt in celebration of their favourite word, or their favourite character, or their favourite book, and wear this to school. We also took part in lots of fun story related activities, including a live draw along led by famous illustrators along with over 600 other primary schools in the country!

Chinese New Year

Thanks to our Equality & Diversity Ambassadors, we had an amazing time celebrating Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dragon in our school with our Wear Red day. The school was a bright and happy scene, with red and gold throughout! Everyone wrote beautiful, positive messages for their friends, learned how to say some greetings in Chinese and were introduced to the amazing way Chinese New Year is celebrated across the world by some of our brilliant pupils.
