Here at the Deans we offer a wide range of choices for children who wish to take a school dinner. Our menu is updated regularly and runs on a three week cycle to keep the choices varied. Children on school dinners also have access to a salad bar to supplement their dinner and encourage healthy choices.
Reception to Year 2 – (Universal Free School Meals)
Year 3 to Year 6 – £2.10 a day (£10.50 per week)
If you think your child/children may be eligible for income related Free School Meals, please click here for more information.
Parents can choose the dinners with their children by logging into our Evolve menu system. Each parent has a login for this system, and meals should be chosen two weeks in advance. For example, meals for week beginning Monday 17th May would need to be chosen by 9am on Monday 3rd May. Generally, meals can be selected for at least each whole term in advance, and changes can be made up to two weeks prior to the meal being taken. If you need a reminder of your login details, or have any issues at all using the system, please contact the school office and we will help. More information can be found under the tab below.
Pupils are welcome to move between packed lunches and school dinners – we request two week’s notice if your child wishes to change in either way.

A healthy packed lunch should contain a variety of foods.
A good packed lunch contains:
Due to severe allergies of both some of our pupils and staff, we are a Nut Free school - this means that no nut containing products are allowed in any packed lunches - this includes, but is not limited to, nut-based chocolate spreads such as Nutella, nut containing snack mixes etc. We also do not allow fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate in packed lunches, or reheated takeaway or "fast" food like McDonalds - we do not feel that these are nutritionally appropriate for pupils during the school day.
